The French conductor, Béatrice Warcollier, trained as a pianist, before she studied singing at the Maîtrise de Radio-France, conducted by Denis Dupays (1992-1995). She then participated in many concerts, creations, tours and recordings under the direction of prestigious conductors such as Seiji Ozawa, Kent Nagano, Charles Dutoit, Jean-Claude Casadesus, Paul Méfano ... Turning then to choir conducting and conducting, she studied at CNSM (2000-20014) with Patrick Marco, Bernard Têtu, Jean-Sébastien Béreau and Valérie Fayet and was awarded first prize at the Conservatoires Régionaux de Paris, Lille and Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Lyon. She also holds the State Diploma in Orchestra Conducting, Choir Direction Certificate and the Master in Pedagogy. During her studies, she benefited from Erasmus exchanges to study at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Finland, in the class of Matti Hyökki. She also received advice from great choral conductors such as Ching-Lien Wu, Alan Woodbridge, Tonu Kaljuste, Rachid Safir, Michel-Marc Gervais, Dominique Vellard, and orcestral conductors such as Pascal Verrot, Claire Levacher, Dominique My, Gilbert Amy.
In 2004 , Béatrice Warcollier created and directed the Chœur de l’Orchestre de Picardie and worked for several years in collaboration with this orchestra and its leader Pascal Verrot, from the great repertoire to new works. She is invited to prepare choirs and soloists, notably for the Opéra Bastille and the Opéra de Lyon, and has participated in many festivals throughout France. For five years, she was director of the Chœur de la Philharmonie des Grandes Écoles (COGE) and at the same time directed for two years the Petits Chanteurs de Passy. Her choirs, including Opella Nova, are requested for productions with Roberto Alagna, Vladimir Cosma. For three years, she has conducted the Orchestre Symphonique des Jeunes de Bruxelles and has been working extensively on exciting productions.
Since 2014, Béatrice Warcollier has devoted herself to the Choeurs d'Enfants and Choeur de Jeunes de l'Orchestre de Paris, working hand in hand with Lionel Sow in collaboration with the Orchestre de Paris conducted by Daniel Harding at the Philharmonie de Paris.
Also a teacher, Béatrice Warcollier trained young choral conductors at the Conservatoire Maurice Ravel de Paris, after having taught at the Conservatoires régionaux de Reims and de Dijon. |
