The American bass, Jackson Wood, obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in History Magna Cum Laude from Davidson College (2015-2019), where got his start in choral singing under the direction of Christopher Gilliam. While at Davidson, he also sang in a production of W.A. Mozart's The Magic Flute (in English translation) and an Opera Scenes Workshop. He obtained his Master of Arts degree in History from William & Mary College (September 2021-August 2022).
Since graduating from Davidson, Jackson Wood has sung with the Winston-Salem Symphony Chorus, the Williamsburg Choral Guild, and the Piedmont Opera. Currently, he is a member of of Winston-Salem Choral Artists (Director: Christopher Gilliam). He also regularly participates in sacred services that commemorate Christmas and Easter. Since 2023, he works as Copywriter at Kaplan Early Learning Company in Lewisville, North Carolina. |
