History & Mission:

The Haller Bach-Tage (Halle Bach Days) is a prestigious annual music festival in Halle (Westfalen), Germany, established in 1964 and centered around the Bachchor der Johanniskantorei Halle. Running during January and February, it has featured major choral works, including all J.S. Bach oratorios, and is a key cultural event in the region. The festival features high-caliber international ensembles, choral music, and Baroque works. It is Jointly organized by the City of Halle and the Johanniskantorei of the Protestant church parish, primarily located in churches and local halls in Halle (Westphalia.). Beyond J.S. Bach, the festival includes chamber music, orchestral works, organ music, and modern interpretations of classical music. The festival often collaborates with local institutions like the Storck Company for venues.
