Günter Fork (Composer)

Born: August 17, 1930 - Duisburg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany
Died: April 11, 1998

The German composer and music pdagogue, Günter [Günther] Fork, was a professor of music theory at the Hochschule für Musik Köln His textbook for score playing, which was reviewed by Wolfgang Stockmeier in the Fachzeitschrift Forum Kirchenmusik, in addition to the older work of Heinrich Creuzburg standard work, is used in the training of Kapellmeisters and church musicians. Among his pupils: Holger Hantke, Wolfgang Siegenbrink, Lutz-Werner Hesse, Thomas Schmidt (church musician)
