BWV 103 - Provenance
The autograph score came into CPE Bach’s possession after his father’s death. At the same time he also received several doublets from the original set of parts. This is confirmed in the list of his father’s compositions drawn up after his (CPE’s) death in 1790. The next owner was the Berliner Singakademie. In 1855 the BB (Deutsche Staatsbibliothek Berlin) acquired the score and the doublets. The original set of parts came to the BB via Karl Otto Friedrich von Voß who acquired these parts after 1806. There is no clear evidence regarding the interim period between 1750 and c. 1806.
