3rd recording of Matthäus-Passion
BWV 244 by G. Ramin.
These excerpts were released shortly before Ramin died. It is not known if
this is a part of a complete recording.
Matthias Hansen wrote (September 5, 2009): Unfortunately there is no 3rd
complete recording of Matthäus-Passion by Ramin. These selections
were recorded in December 1955 and realized the only part of a planned new
complete recording. The planned continuation for February 1956 was no
longer reached due to Ramin's stroke on February 17, 1956 and his death 10
days later.
