Jürgen Natter (Organ , Harpsichord, Conductor)

Born: 1981 - Feldkirch, Austria

The Austrian organist, harpsichordist and conductoer, Jürgen Natter, graduated from the Feldkirch Konservatorium (organ, harpsichord, piano and conducting). While still studying, he won 1st Prize and Audience Prize at the Organ Improvisation Competition "Laurentius von Schnifis. He continued his organ concert studies with Guy Bovet in Basel.

Since then Jürgen Natter has performed as a soloist, chamber musician, improviser and conductor regularly at home and abroad and has premiered numerous works (Paul Dessau, Floredo, Sweepers, Thurnher). He maintains duo partnerships with Sandra Schmid (clarinet), Jürgen Ellensohn (trumpet) and the writer Robert Schneider.

Since 2011 Jürgen Natter directs the Frauenchor Altstätten (Switzerland), is the artistic director of the concert series Altacher Orgelsoireen (Austria) and since 2012 a church musician of the Pfarrei St. Antonius zu Diepoldsau (Switzerland).

In 2014 he revived together with Esther Beyeler the Rheintaler the Rheintaler Bach-Chor. They gave an impressinve debut in the Holy Week 2015 performing J.S. Bach's Johannes-Passion (BWV 245).
