The German soprano, Christiane Rost, studied singing with Kammersänger Hans Sotin and Klesie Kelly at the Musikhochschule in Cologne and as a scholarship holder at the Conservatorio di S. Cecilia in Rome. Master-classes with Brigitte Fassbaender, Hartmut Höll and Barbara Schlick complemented her artistic training. She won prizes at the Singing Competition in Berlin and the Singing Competition of the Music Academies in NRW.
Christiane Rost appeared as a guest at the Deutschen Oper Berlin, the Kammeroper Frankfurt, the Theater Hagen and at the Jacques Offenbach Festival in Bad Elms, among others. As a member of the Bayreuth Festival she sang under Daniel Barenboim and James Levine. As a concert singer she has appeared on concert stages in Europe and Brazil. She is a member of the WDR Rundfunkchor Köln. |
