The French bandoneon player, Sébastien Authemayou, studied at CEFEDEM Sud Aubagne, CRR Marseille, CRR Saint-Etienne, Cnima, CRD Tulle, CRD Aurillac. He won 1st Prize of the Conservatoires Nationaux de Saint-Etienne et Marseille accordion concert and chamber music; he also won many other awards: Winner of Max Francy Prize, 1st Prize of the CNFA, Winner of Carlo Civardi Pianello Val Tidone Prize (Italy).
Sébastien Authemayou performed as a soloist at the Grand Théâtre de Saint-Etienne, Palais du Pharo in Marseille. He appeared as bandoneon soloist with the l'Orchestre Philharmonique et du Chœur de l'Opéra de Marseille, for the representation of " Misa Tango" by Luis Bacalov in the 11th Festival de Musique Sacrée de Marseille (Spring 2006). He also accompanies several artists like Pierre Delorme, Sandrine Szymanski or Michel Melchionne and participates in their recording projects.
Sébastien Authemayou has also been invited to participate in various formations as the Orchestre de Chambre de Toulon Provence Méditerranée, Ensemble Instrumental de Mayenne (series of concerts around the tango and the Concerto for bandoneon solo, string orchestra , piano, harp and percussions by Astor Piazzolla), Correspondances Compagnie (creation of Memoriae project alongside soprano Orianne Moretti, bass-baritone Marcos Fink, violinist Corey Cerovsek) and Ensemble Una Stella (directed by Philippe Spinosi and Anne-Garance Fabre-dit-Garrus) . In October 2012, he collaborated with Peter Dicke (German pianist and organist) in a Bach-Telemann concert concert as part of the 30th Semaines Internationales de l'Orgue de Toulon et du Var. He is founder of Duo Intermezzo specialized in the repertoire of Argentine tango around the work of composer Astor Piazzolla,
Sébastien Authemayou as Professeur of accordéon, musical creation and improvisation at CRC Privas (September 2006-June 2008) and CRC Cabriès (September 2007-June 2011). Since September 2009, he is Professor of bandoneon, accordeon and new tango at Conservatoire National à Rayonnement Régional de Toulon. Since 2013, he is also the faculty advisor for Cefedem-Sud d'Aubagneis. He is also an arranger, composer, and member of the
