The Swedish choral conductor and organist and tenor singer, Bengt Eklund, studied at Östervåla skola (Class of 1979). He graduated from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm in 1994, where he studied with Professors Anders Eby, Eric Ericson and Dan-Olof Stenlund.
After finishing his studies, Bengt Eklund served as an organist in Solna, Råsunda, Sundbyberg and Täby parishes before joining the Engelbrekt's congregation in August 2004. Since then he has been organist in Engelbrekts parish and director of Engelbrekts kammarkör, Since 1996, he is a professional ensemble bass singer in the Swedish Radio Choir. He married the soprano Helena Eklund Stigsdotter in 2011, and currently lives in Täby, Sweden. |
