The Spanish soprano, Saioa Goñi (Saioa Goñi Maiza), began her musical training at the Conservatorio Profesional Pablo Sarasate in Pamplona and studied voice at Musikene (Centro Superior de Música del País Vasco). She then studied at the Escuela Superior de Música de Cataluña (ESMUC) in Barcelona. She pursued further specialized master's studies at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Switzerland, focusing on historical performance practice and advanced vocal ensemble studies. She won the Talent TAU award for young early music performers in Catalonia alongside harpsichordist Diana Valls for their duo project "Dolce Harmonía".
Saioa Goñi focuses primarily on Renaissance, Baroque, and sacred music, including works by J.S. Bach, Antonio Vivaldi, and Jan Dismas Zelenka. She performs with specialized early music groups and ensembles across Spain and Europe, such as Art Vocal Ensemble (Director: Llorenç Gelabert Gual), Sauc Ensemble, and the Advanced Vocal Ensemble Studies (AVES) program in Basel. |
