The Italian baritone, Jakob Mitterrutzner, began his singing studies at the Universität Mozarteum in the preparatory course, and since October 2015 he has been studying for a bachelor's degree with Bernd Valentin.
Jakob Mitterrutzner could be heard and seen in December 2017 as Melisso in George Frideric Handel's Alcina at the Universität Mozarteum. In the summer of the same year he was on stage with the Angelika Prokopp Summer Academy of the Wiener Philharmoniker as Antonio in W.A. Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro in Salzburg, Thalheim, Graz and in the Vienna Concert Hall.
He gained further stage experience in the Mozarteum production in spring 2019 in the role of Tobias Mill from Rossini's opera La Cambiale di Matrimonio and in the Universität Mozarteum opera production of Francis Poulenc's Dialogues des Carmélites in the role of Thierry and Commissaire. He performed several smaller concerts in the Brixen Cathedral with the cathedral organist Franz Comploi. He is a member of BachWerkVokal Salzburg (Director: Gordon Safari). He currently lives in Salzburg, Austria. |
