The orchestra Capella Montana was founded in 1993 by the Kantor of the Bergkirche Christian Pfeifer. Young musicians from different orchestras of the Rhine-Main region as well as advanced students work together and create together with the vocal soloists and choir concerts in the church. The interpretative approach is based on the findings of historical performance practice and tries to transfer them on modern instruments. The goal is commitment to the work and the composerr and to make the music alive. The concert-master of the Hessischen Staatsorchesters Wiesbaden, Karl-Heinz Schultz, also functions as conert-master of Capella Montana, and can be heard as a regular soloist in the church. |
