Bach Choir & Orchestra of Mainz (Choir & Orchestra)

Founded: 1955 - Mainz, Germany

The Bach Choir & Orchestra of Mainz (BC&OM) was founded by Professor Diethard Hellmann in 1955 and has since performed most of J.S. Bach’s choral works – in Germany as well as in France, Switzerland and Israel (where they appeared at the Music Festival Abu Gosh in 1972).

Besides participating in Bach Festivals the choir has made recordings and has appeared on Radio and Television.
