John Erik Eleby (Bass-Baritone)

Born: Sweden

The Swedish bass-baritone, John Erik Eleby, is engaged by the Royal Opera in Stockholm where his roles have included Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte, Sparafucile in Rigoletto, the Grand Inquisitor in Don Carlo, Escamillo in Carmen and Titurel in Parsifal. He has made guest appearances at several other opera houses. In concert he appears frequently in the sacred works by composers like J.S. Bach, George Frideric Handel, Haydn, W.A. Mozart and Johannes Brahms.
