Czesław Gałka (Bass)

Born: Poland

The Polish bass, Czesław Gałka, completed his musical studies in Katowice in 1984. A year later he became a soloist at the Grand Opera Theatre in Warsaw. His honours include First Awards at the Jan Kiepura Competition in Krynica (1993), Second Award at the Adam Didur National Opera Competition in Bytom (1984) and Third Award at the International Vocal Competition in s’Hertogenbosch (1988). He has participated in the courses of interpretation of opera and oratorio music in Weimar and Bayreuth.

Czesław Gałka has performed in Belgium, France, Austria, Germany, Luxembourg, Holland, the Czech Republic and the former Soviet Union. He has toured Switzerland with the Grand Opera Theatre of Warsaw (L.v. Beethoven’s 9th Symphony). He has made numerous recordings for radio and TV.
