Tim Hennis (Bass)

Born: Germany

The German bass, Tim Hennis, had completing his studies (Magister Artium) in the subjects of history of music, modern German literature and medieval German, before he began to study singing at the music academy in Cologne under Claudio Nicolai and Kurt Moll. Master-classes and continued training with Josef Metternich.

Tim Hennis is a permanent member of the Chor des Bayerischen Rundfunks. He also takes solo parts with the choir in concerts and studio and CD productions.

Roles: Alessio in Bellini's La Sonnambula (concert performance with the Münchner Rundfunkorchester and Edita Gruberova, CD production for Nightingale Classics in 1998); General Lefort in Lortzing's Zar und Zimmermann (concert performance and live broadcast for Bavarian Radio in 1999); Oberlin in Wolfgang Rihm's chamber opera Jakob Lenz (scenic production by Bayerische Theaterakademie 1999); Alidoro in Rossini's La Cenerentola (scenic production by Pasinger Fabrik 2000/2001)

Tim Hennis has also solo performances as a concert and oratorio singer.
