The German contralto, Lea Sophie Krüger, received piano and organ lessons there during her school years. She discovered her interest in singing as part of her church music studies, which she successfully completed with a bachelor's degree. Since 2022, she has been studying opera and concert singing, as well as vocal pedagogy in Professor Regina Kabis-Elsner's class at the Musikhochschule Freiburg. She is a scholarship holder of the Dr.-Leo-Ricker-Stiftung and also received a Germany scholarship.
As a concert singer, Lea Krüger has already taken on the alto parts of important church music works, including W.A. Mozart's Requiem, J.S. Bach's Mass in B minor BWV 232 and Weihnachts-Oratorium BWV 248, as well as various cantatas. She also recently sang the role of the sorceress in Purcell's opera Dido and Aeneas at the Burghof Lörrach. She also gained formative musical experiences as a choir and ensemble singer, including in the figure humaine Kammerchor and the Kammerchor der Hochschule für Musik Freiburg. |
