Oliver Martin-Smith (Tenor)

Born: England

The English tenor, Oliver Martin-Smith, studied at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama (GSMD) under the tuition of Theresa Goble (2010-2014).

Oliver Martin-Smith is enjoying a varied freelance career, singing in opera productions, and as a oratorio soloist and he has recently joined the professional a capella group Apollo5. His Oratorio highlights include George Frideric Handel’s Israel and Egypt with Hertford Choral society (2012), W.A. Mozart’s Coronation Mass and Solemn Vespers with the Bach Choir of St. Albans (2013), and W.A. Mozart’s Requiem with the Rennes Music Festival Chorus (2015). His Opera roles include Opera North’s chorus for Aldeburgh Festival’s production of Benjamin Britten's Peter Grimes on the beach (2013), The Mayor in GSMD’s B. Britten's Albert Herring, (2013), Acis from G.F. Handel’s Acis and Galetea with St.Albans chamber opera (2015), Ferrando in W.A. Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte and Don Ottavio from W.A. Mozart's Don Giovanni with Dulwich opera, and The Count Almaviva in Il babiere di Siviglia. His next solo engagement is performing G.F. Handel’s Messiah in Ely Cathedral April 9.
