Vito Priante (Bass)

Born: Naples, Italy

The Italian bass, Vito Priante, studied German and French literature in his home town, Naples.

In 2002 Vito Priante made his debut at the Teatro Goldoni in Florence in Giovanni Battista Pergolesii's La Serva padrona. Since then he has mainly worked with various Baroque ensemble, but has also sung at major festivals and theaters across Europe, including at the Oslo Music Festival, at the Milan's La Scala, at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice and in Genoa, Madrid and Lisbon. His repertoire includes roles as the title role in Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria or Papageno (Die Zauberflöte). At the Bayerischen Staatsoper he sang Silvano (La Calisto), Leone (Tamerlano).
