Adolph Seidel (Bass)

Born: Germany

The German bass, Adolph Seidel, studied singing with Peter Wetzler and Paul Lohmann.

One focus of his work is the music of the Early and High Baroque. Since 1992, he has worked together with the Orlando di Lasso Ensemble, which won many prizes. He concetrates not only in the bass roles of the standard concert repertore, but also in Lieder singing and ensemble singing. Since 1977, he is in the main cast of the Kammerchor Stuttgart under Frieder Bernius. He is also an active founding member of the KammerChor Saarbrücken directed by Georg Grün. With his own ensemble VocArt, Adolph Seidel is a conductor and singer in the field of early music in both the eight-voice a-capella form and in the oratorio up to include works as J.S. Bach's Johannes-Passion (BWV 245) and Weihnachts-Oratorium (BWV 248).
