Katrin Valk (Mezzo-soprano, Contralto)

Born: Tallinn, Estonia

The Estonian mezzo-soprano/contralto, Katrin Valk, studied singing at the Musikhochschule Dresden and at the Mozarteum Salzburg.

Katrin Valk has made concert tours with the Dresdner Kammerchor (Director: Hans-Christoph Rademann) at home and abroad. Guest engagements, have led her to the Landesbühnen Sachsen, Theater Görlitz, Oper Chemnitz, Semperoper Dresden, as well as to music festivals, including the Styriarte Graz, Seefestspielen Mörbisch, Pfingst- und Osterfestspielen Baden-Baden and the Salzburger Festspiele (August 2014). She appeared for the first time at the Theater Hof in the role of Mother Jeanne in Francis Poulenc's Dialogues des Carmélites (March 2017).
