History & Mission:

CBE launches its first Colorado Bach Festival in June 2014 featuring vocal masterworks by J.S. Bach and G.F. Handel.
Highlights of the festival include J.S. Bach’s St. John Passion, BWV 245, and G.F. Handel’s early Psalm settings from his Italian years in 1707; Laudate pueri, HWV 237, Nisi Dominus, HWV 238, Dixit Dominus, HWV 232 , Gloria in excelsis deo, HWV deest. As part of the festival, the Colorado Chamber Players performed the string quartet version of J.S. Bach’s posthumously published The Art of the Fugue, BWV 1080.
