Orchestra I Musici di Parma (Orchestra)

Founded: 2002 - Parma, Emilia-Romagna, Italy

Orchestra I Musici di Parma was founded in 2002 with the aim of promoting and carrying out symphonic, operatic, chamber and concert activities through its own orchestral group.

Since its inception, the Orchestra has set itself the dual aim of rediscovering unpublished works and disseminating masterpieces of all time. In chamber or symphonic formation, it tackles a wide repertoire ranging from Baroque to Classicism, up to the most beautiful pages of 20th-century music. It has accompanied internationally renowned musicians and singers in concerts and recitals. It has distinguished itself in the European musical panorama for the originality of its programs and the quality of its performances, gaining acclaim from the public, critics and performing in important theaters, concert halls and festivals.

In 2010, I Musici di Parma founded their own Accademia of advanced training, currently based at the Palazzo dei Congressi in Salsomaggiore Terme (PR) and became a true center of musical production, organizing their own festivals and musical reviews. The Accademia offers young Italian and foreign musicians a highly specialized training opportunity, with the aim of making their technical and musical skills suitable for tackling the all-round concert profession, thanks to an integrated approach between teaching and experience on stage. In January 2022, I Musici di Parma completed the process of transformation into Fondazione I Musici di Parma - ETS.
