Sabine Bauer (Harpsichord, Recorder)

Born: Köln, Germany

The German harpsichordist and recorder player, Sabine Bauer, studied piano, flute and harpsichord at the Musikhochschule Köln, Berlin and Frankfurt/Main with Bradford Tracey and Harald Hoeren. Further teachers were Andreas Staier, Ton Koopman and Gustav Leonhardt.

Besides playing the harpsichord with Camerata Köln and La Stagione Frankfurt/Main, Sabine Bauer is very much in demand as chamber music accompanist to singers as well as instrument players. She plays not only the harpsichord but also the pianoforte.

Since 1986 Sabine Bauer is teaching at the Akademie für Tonkunst (Academy for Musical Art) Darmstadt and is also instructor at the Musikhochschule Frankfurt/Main.
