Camerata Singers (Chamber Choir)

Founded: 1973 - Dublin, Ireland

The Camerata Singers were founded by David Milne in 1973 to sing mostly 'a capella' music, but they too have built up a wide-ranging repertoire for chamber choir. They have appeared both on ranging repertoire for chamber choir. They have appeared both on radio and television. and give an annual Christmas Concert in the National Concert Hall in aid of Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children in Crumlin.

Musica Sacra and the Camerata Singers have worked together on many occasions, notably in the very highly acclaimed performance of J.S. Bach's Mass in B minor (BWV 232) in 1987. The two groups performed together in Monteverdi's Vespers of 1610 at the Royal Hospital Kilmainharn on April 10, 1988.
