Maurice Cole (Piano)

Born: 1902 - London, England
Died: 1990

The English pianist, teacher and adjudicator, Maurice Cole, studied privately and at the Guildhall School of Music with Arthur De Greef.

Maurice Cole was the first pianist to broadcast a recital on the BBC. He was professor at the Guildhall School of Music from 1953. He was married with Doris Allen.

Maurice Cole has extensively recorded in the 1920's and 1930's for Vocalion, for Hyperion during the late 1940's, and for Classics Club during the late 1950's (later reissued by Saga).
