The Italian bass, Alessandro Colombo, graduated in psychology in Padova; then studied singing as bass with Franca Matteucci, Malcolm King and currently with Alessandra Althof Pugliese. He participated in the Città Lirica project at the Teatro Goldoni di Livorno, with the staging of the opera Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny by Kurt Weill, directed by Johnatan Web and that of the International School Music New York with the staging of the Dodici personaggi in cerca di voce by Rigacci. At the Teatro del Giglio di Lucca he sang in Wolff-Ferrari's opera I quattro rusteghi conducted by A. Sisillo and in various other productions. In 2007 he won the Bayreuth scholarship, from the Richard Wagner Association of Venice with a study trip to the Festspiel in Bayreuth.
Alessandro Colombo performs concert activity with a vast repertoire from the 17th to the 18th centuries. In May 2008, he collaborated with R.T.S.I. di Lugano in Dixit Dominus by D. Scarlatti directed by Claudio Abbado in Bologna. Among the operatic characters he perfomed Uberto in La serva padrona by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi (2009), Ferrando in Il Trovatore by Verdi (2010), Colline in La Bohème by Puccini (2011), Basilio in Il Barbiere di Siviglia (2012), Commendatore in Don
