Forstmann Quartett (String Quartet)

Founded: 2003 - Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany

Foprstmann Quartet was founded in 2003 at the Folkwang Musikhochschule, Essen (Germany).
The members graduated from the Folkwang Musikhochschule, Essen with Konzertexamen.(with Compliment).
They started performing concert in Stuttgart, Essen, Duisburg, Düsseldorf, Velbert & Wuppertal, They have appeared at Seoul Arts Centre, Kumho Art Hall, Ceramic Palace Hall, Kt Chamber Hall, YAMAHA Hall, Maria Calla Hall, Baroque Chamber Hall.etc..
They attended masterclass from Tabea Zimmermann, Thomas Brandis.
The participated in Summer Chamber Music Festival. (Seoul) and The Prestige Series (Seoul).
They studied with Andreas Reiner (Rosamunde Quartett), Jürgen Kussmaul.
All the quartet members are are faculty of various universities in Korea. Currently they are located in Seoul, Korea.

Sung-hun Koh (1st Violin)
Born: South Korea

The Koprean violinist, Sunghun Koh (Korean: 고성헌), graduated from Seoul National University College of Music. He has Diploma of Music in Karlsruhe, Germany, and Diploma (Konzertexamen) of Music in Essen, Germany. He also attended Chamber Music course in Essen, Germany. (Forstmann Quartett).
Sunghun Koh is a member of Korean Chamber Orchestra.
He is teaching at the Seokyung University.

Hyun-ae Elly Lee (2nd Violin)
Born: South Korea

The Koprean violinist, Hyun-ae Elly Lee (Korean: 이현애), graduated from Seoul National University College of Music. She received Graduate and Postgraduated Diploma from the London Guildhall School of Music, and Chamber Music Diploma (Da capo Quartett), highest degree and Fellowship served as a musician.
Hyun-ae Elly Lee is a member of Korean Chamber Orchestra.
She is teaching at the Seoul National University, Chung-ang University etc.

Jayyoon Kim (Viola)
Born: South Korea

The Koprean violist, Jayyoon Kim (Korean: 김재윤), graduated from Seoul National University College of Music. He has Diploma of Music in Dusseldorf, Germany, and Diploma (Konzertexamen) of Music in Dusseldorf, Germany. He also attended Chamber Music course in Essen, Germany (Forstmann Quartett).
Jayyoon Kim is a member of Korean Chamber Orchestra.
He is teaching at the Seoul Consavatory etc.

Yongsik Kim (Violoncello)
Born: South Korea

The Koprean cellist, Yongsik Kim (Korean: 김용식), graduated from Yonsei University College of Music. He has Diploma of Music in Dusseldorf, Germany; and Diploma (Konzertexamen) of Music in Weimar, Germany. He also attended Chamber Music course in Essen, Germany (Forstmann Quartett).
Yongsik Kim is a member of Korean Chamber Orchestra.
He is teaching at the Sejong University etc.
