Inger Grudin-Brandt (Harpsichord, Clavichord, Fortepiano)

Born: August 27, 1934 - Stockholm, Sweden
Died: May 12, 2019

The Swedish harpsichordist, clavichordist and fortepianist, Inger Grudin-Brandt, studied in Stockholm with Gottfrid Boon and Hilda Waldeland and in Darmstadt with Hans Leygraf. From 1958 until 1962 she studied the harpsichord with Fritz Neumeyer at the State High School for Music in Freiburg.

In 1962, Inger Grudin-Brandt made her German and Swedish debuts as a harpsichordist and has since given concerts and taught in both countries. In 1970, she returned to Sweden where she has given numerous courses in playing the harpsichord, not least in the Institute for Musical Research at the University of Stockholm, and has given regular concerts. She has also given concerts with the intermedia group 'Grudinska Selskapet' which was founded in 1974 and which devotes itself to studying and performing historical styles in texts, music, dance and costume.
