The Austrian conductor, Peter Marschik, was a member of the Wiener Sängerknaben (Vienna Boys’ Choir). He was trained at the Musikhochschule in Vienna, where he studied piano, singing, composition, and conducting. In 1981 he received Diploma with distinction.
Peter Marschik was the pianist of the ‘Beethoven Trio’. He became the Choirmaster of Wiener Sängerknaben, and since 1991 its artistic director. He made Radio, TV and disc recordings as pianist, singer and conductor. Concert tours brought him through Europe, to North and South America, Japan and Australia. He has collaborated with the Vienna State Opera chorus, the Coro dell’ Accademia di Santa Cecilia Rome, the Orquesta Sinfónica National de Mexico, the Orquesta Sinfónica Venezuela, the Leopoldinum chamber orchestra Breslau, the Slovak State Philharmonic, the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Academy of London, the Stuttgart Philharmonic, the Vienna Volksoper Symphony Orchestra and the Vienna State Opera Orchestra.
