The German guitarist, singer and teacher, Monika Rost, graduated from the Liszt School of Music in Weimar, as a student of Ursula Peter. In 1972, she won 1st Prize at the International Guitar Competition of French Radio and Television.
Monika Rost has toured throughout Europe as a soloist and in a duo with her husband, Jürgen Rost.She serves as a member of the jury of numerous guitar competitions, including several in 2002, such as the 2nd European Youth Guitar Competition, A. Segovia in Velbert (Germany). She conducts master-classes in Europe and the USA. |
