Wolfgang Schult (Conductor)

Born: 1942 - Hamburg, Germany

The German conductor, Wolfgang Schult, studied church music and musicology.

From 1971 to 1982 Wolfgang Schult was church musician at the Stadtkirche of Dillenburg. He has led the Jugendkantorei Dillenburg since 1971, the vocal ensemble Arcani Musicali since 1982, the Universitäts-Chores of the Phillips-Universität Marburg since 1989, and is artistic director of the Bachwochen Dill e.V since 1989. He is also music lecturer at the Laubach-Kolleg.

For his many years of work in the music life far beyond the region and his service in the musical work with the youngsters, Wolfgang Schult was given in November 2001 the Bundesverdienstkreuz (Order of Merit).
