Dona Stoyanova (Soprano)

Born: 1994 (?) - Dobrich, Bulgaria

The Bularian soprano, painter and sculptor, Dona Stelianova Stoyanova (Bulgarian: Дона Стоянова), obtained her PhD in Art History from the Bulgarian National Academy of Arts in Sofia (2012). Her Awards include: 1^st prize in a student competition for sculpture organized by YTONG (2004); 1^st prize at the student competition for painting and sculpture, National Academy of Arts (2006 & 2007); 2^nd prize in the National Youth Competition, organized by the Cyril and Methodius Foundation (2009); 1^st prize for a sculptural portrait of Yordan Parushev, Dobrich (2013); Nomination for sculpture at the Eighth Art competition of Small Forms, Pleven (2016); Award of the Union of Bulgarian art collectors (2017); Scholarship from National Found Culture (2020). Her Residences include: Creative residency under the Erasmus program, Cuenca, Spain (2004); Creative residence and exhibition at the UBA base, Cité des Arts, Paris (2018).

• 2018 Solo exhibition at Edna Gallery, Sofia
• 2018 Participation in exhibition of illustrations to poetic texts by Yordan Krachmarov, published catalogue, Art Gallery, Dobrich
• 2019 Participation in an international sculpture symposium organized by the National Academy of Arts, gallery of the Ministry of Interior affairs
• 2019 Participation in an international exhibition, Varsac, Serbia
• 2019 Participation in the summer salon of Nova art space
• 2021 Solo exhibition "The Mask", relief and collage, Sofia Library

Dona Stoyanova is Part-time lecturer in sculpture at the National Academy of Arts (since 2011) and Part-time teacher at the French Lyceum "Victor Hugo". She also participates in various events as a soprano singer. She currently lives in Sofia, Bulgaria.
