Süddeutscher Madrigalchor Stuttgart (Choir)

Founded: Stuttgart, Germany

The leading motive of Süddeutscher Madrigalchor (South German Madrigal Choir): a new interpretation with a claim to vocal and formal transparency and professionalism - normally numbering 40 members and never more than 55 members, as if they had to perform chamber music. This also applies to works requiring great vocal ensembles. Except for the concerts regularly given in Stuttgart, they have attained world-wide fame owing to their appearances at festivals, radio and TV productions and numerous recordings.
