Luca Tittoto (Bass)

Born: Italy

The Italian bass, Luca Tittoto, is nowadays studying and specializing with the tenor Beniamino Prior. He won the 2006 Concorso Di Stefano in Trapani, and was finalist at the 35th Concorso per Giovani Cantanti "Toti Dal Monte" in Treviso, at the Concorso Lirico "Franco Alfano" Città di San Remo and at the Concorso "Beniamino Gigli" in Roma.

Luca Tittoto is invited by prestigious Festivals (Schladmingher Musiksummer, Aurore's Crotone's Festival, Asolo Musica) expecially for sacred music and oratorio repertoire: Petite Messe Solennelle by G. Rossini, Mass in B minor (BWV 232) and Johannes-Passion (BWV 245) by J.S. Bach, The Messiah by George Frideric Handel, Das Berliner Requiem by K. Weil, Te Deum by M.A. Charpantier, Requiem by W.A. Mozart, with the Chamber Orchestra in Padova, in Veneto and Capella Savaria in Budapest.

Luca Tittoto co-operated for several seasons with the Fondazione Teatro Lirico G. Verdi in Trieste, performing the Spanishes Liderspiel Op. 74 by Robert Schumann and for the opera season he performed several roles in productions such as Peter Grimes by Benjamin Britten, Hamlet by Thomas, Alcina by G.F. Handel conducted by Filippo Maria Bressan, Un Lakkè in Ariadne auf Naxos by R. Strauss conducted by S.A. Reck, Un Nobile in Lohengrin conducted by Günter Neuhold, Un Nobile and un Sicario in Macbeth by G. Verdi conducted by Elio Boncompagni.

With the Orchestra della Società Filarmonica in Udine Luca Tittoto made his debut in 2005 as Don Basilio in Il Barbiere di Siviglia by G. Rossini. With Ottavio Dantone and Accademia Bizantina he performed roles such as Mercurio and Littore in L'Incoronazione di Poppea by Monteverdi in the Theatres in Cremona, Como, Brescia, Pavia, Ravenna and Ferrara. In February 2006 he sang Il bonzo in the production of Madama Butterfly at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genova, directed by Renata Scotto. In June 2006 he sung in Milano Il barbiere di Siviglia by Paisiello under the baton of Antonello Manacorda. 2006-2007 season included engagement in Genova for W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, in Cremona as Plutone in Monteverdi’s Orfeo, role that also sang at 2007 Aix en Provence Festival, conducted by René Jacobs.

ith the Orchestra Giocosa in Friuli Venezia Giulia Luca Tittoto performed the role of Uberto in La Serva Padrona by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, Don Annibale in il Campanello dello Speziale by G. Donizetti, Filiberto in Il Signor Bruschino by G. Rossini, Il Preposito in Il Sasso Pagano by G. Viozzi, Il Maestro in the opera Da Capo by G. Giani Luporini.
