Johannes (Italus) Hermann (Hymn-Writer, Thomaskantor)

Born: 1515 - Zittau, Saxony, Germany
Died: April 22, 1593 - Freiberg, Germany

Johannes Hermann [Herman] was Thomaskantor from 1531 to 1536. Afterwards he went to Freiberg, where he became the first Evangelist Kantor. In 1540 he became a professional jurist (1541 Amtsvoigt).
