Igor Ilin (Composer, Arranger)

Born: September 21 (October 4,) 1909 - Ukraine (former USSR)
Died: After 1967 (?)

The Russian composer and arranger, Igor Pavlovich Ilin [Iljin, Il'in] (Russian: Игорь Павлович Ильин), graduated in 1930 from the Rubinstein Muses- Engineering College. Rubinstein in VY-Plaksina Zograf, In 1935 he graduated from the Historical and Theoretical. Faculty of Moscow. Conservatory, where he studied music history course with A.A. Alshvanga (А.А. Альшванга); piano class of G.R. Ginzburg (Г.Р. Гинзбурга) and K.N, Igumnova (К.Н. Игумнова); composition with Dmitry Kabalevsky (Д. Б. Кабалевского).

From 1937 to 1939, Igor Pavlovich Ilin was the director of the Museum of Scriabin; from 1939 to 1940, deputy of the Repertoire Committee; in 1941 he became deputy manager of the Arts of the Lithuanian SSR; from 1942 to 1945 deputy manager of the All-Union Tour and Concert Association; in 1949 deputy manager of of music for Theaters All-Union Committee for the Arts; in 1950-1951 deputy Director of the Bolshoi Theatre. From 1954 to 1959 he was editor in music. Broadcasting Union Radio. From 1963 to 1967, he was editor in the publishing house "Music" (Музыка); from 1959 to 1963 and in 1967, editor in the publishing house "Soviet Composer" (Советский композитор) in Moscow.
