Markus Kühnis is a teacher at the Musik Schule Emmenn. He is also an organist at the Mauritiuskirche Emmen He has given concerts as both as organist and a pianist in his homeland and abroad. He also acts as correpetitior, arrangeer and organiser of "to emmer töne". He is a member of Ausschuss und Kuratorium of the Luzerner Kantorei.
