Status

A cantata of this title under Bach's name was in 1770 offered for sale by the music dealers Breitkopf in Leipzig, but the music has not survived. Possibly this was a case of confusion with a work of the same name by Georg Philipp Telemann; see the critical report to NBA I/18, pp. 118 f.
