Collegium Musicum Wilhelm Isselmann (Chamber Orchestra)

Founded: Frankfurt, Germany

The Collegium Musicum Wilhelm Isselmann (also known as Collegium Musicum Franfurt) (= CMWI) and was formed out of musicians from Frankfurt and Detmold, and every time "for what was needed" (je nach Bedarf). Music-academies from Demold and Frankfurt and the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra (HR-Sinfonieorchester) formed the basis for this Collegium Musicum Orchestra. Professor Wilhelm Isselman -from Detmold- was the leader and he was a friend and collegue (violin) of Kurt Thomas.
