The Chilean mezzo-soprano and music teacher, Javiera Constanza Barrios Lara, obtained Bachelor of Music degree with a mention in choral conducting from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. She complements these studies by making the double mention with Canto Lírico. She has participated on several occasions in the Repertoire and Choral Direction course, organized by the same institute in its Summer School program with teachers from Cuba, Argentina and the USA.
Since she was little, Javiera Lara has liked to sing and has participated in many choirs, including the Coro de Cámara UC, Ensamble Íkaros and Ensamble Concerto Vocale and also in various productions of the Teatro Municipal de Las Condes, Teatro Regional de Rancagua and Teatro del Lago. Currently, in addition to being one of the directors of the "Voces de Vitacura" project, she is director of the Choir Workshop of the Senior Adult program at the Universidad Católica. She is a member of the vocal ensemble of Bach Santiago (2018-2023). |
