Cantata BWV 47 [19:27]
Appendix: Alternate version of Aria for Soprano Wer ein wahrer Christ will heißen (Mvt. 2) [8:29].
The work is scored for two oboes, strings and continuo, with the organ appearing as an obbligato instrument only in Mvt. 2. The original sources indicate that in a subsequent performance (1736 or later) the organ obbligato in this aria was replaced by a violin. |
