Suzuki - Vol. 22

I do already have the Suzuki Vol. 22, and even managed to listen to it once. See details at the page: http://www.bach-cantatas.com/Performers/Suzuki-Rec2.htm
This album deserves special review. Any volunteers?

Bob Henderson wrote (August 15, 2003):
[To Aryeh Oron] No mention of Volumn 22 on the BIS websight. I know I cannot get it here. Whats on it? How did you get it? You must live in a special place!

Bob Henderson wrote (August 15, 2003):
Any reviews of the #22 Suzuki cycle released this month? Three larger works
based on reformation hymns I gather.

Suzuki cycle Volume 22

Bob Henderson wrote (September 9, 2003):
Have just received my copy! Any reviews out there?

Alex Riedlmayer wrote (September 9, 2003):
[To Bob Henderson] It might be interesting to compare Suzuki's "O Ewigkeit du Donnerwort" (BWV 20) with Herreweghe's recent recording which features the same tenor and bass soloists.

Peter Bright wrote (September 9, 2003):
[To Bob Henderson] I'm not sure whether it's been released in many countries yet - but I will be doing my damnedest to get this as soon as possible... I doubt whether there are any reviews available as yet.

Uri Golomb wrote (September 9, 2003):
[To Peter Bright] Actually, the Israeli newspaper Ha'aretz already carries a review of this disc (a joint review, in fact, of vols. 21 & 22). The reviewer, Hagai Hitron, expresses reservations with some of the solo singing, especially in vol. 21; but on the whole the review is enthusiastic. I'd include a link, but the review is only available in Hebrew -- it is not included on Ha'aretz's English web edition (not yet, anyhow).

Thomas Shepherd wrote (September 9, 2003):
[To Bob Henderson] Vol 22 It is not available yet in the UK according to MDT. However for the rest of this month and October that firm is offering all the BIS label for £9.50 which is a very good reduction indeed.
