Suzuki’s Christmas Oratorio

Thomas Holm wrote (November 27, 2001):
Christmas will soon be here and I'm thinking of buying Suzuki's Christmas oratorio on Bis. I was trying to find some reviews, but I couldn't find any. The Gramophones said there wasn't any which is ridiculous. On Len's I gave up because I got so many hits (which most of them hadn't anything to do with Bach) that I didn't bother to try to find it. Do any on this list remember or have any opinions? Is it worth the money. I have the old Richter recordings already.

Short answer... Yes. Beautiful recording with an incredible sonics. Suzuki's Messiah is one my personal favorites, although Hogwood's is my longtime favorite (no offense meant for anyone else's preferences).
