Version in modern German

1. Arie

Nach Finsternis und Todesschatten
erscheinet die Sonne der Lust.
Ein Strahl des Aufgangs aus der Hoehe
umleuchtet itzt, nach dunklem Wege,
mit lieblichem Schimmer die froehliche Brust.

2. Rezitativ

Herr Jesu, komm! der Weg ist dir bereit, ach;
lass mich doch in Ewigkeit von dir nichts treiben!
Du sollst mein Schatz, du sollst mein alles bleiben.

3. Arie

Herrn des Heils, von Gott erhoehet,
sei das Kleinod meiner Lust.
Sei in Schwachheit meine Staerke!
Sei die Regel meiner Werke,
sei die Ruestung meiner Brust.
