Version in modern German

1. Arie

Wie schmerzlich drueckt die schwere Buerde
der stets beseufzten Duerftigkeit.
Es muss den ausgeduerrten Kaelen
auch oft ein kleines Troepfgen fehlen.
Wo find‘ ich Brot, wo Trank, wo Kleid?

2. Rezitativ

Jedoch getrost! Gott weiss in solcher Not
fuer nahrungloses Traenenbrot
bald einen kraeftig suessen Segen
und reichen Ueberfluss,
fuer Mangel zu erlegen.

3. Arie

Es zeigt, o Herr, dein Gnadenwille,
den weitsten Abgrund reicher Fuelle
an Segen und Zufriedenheit.
Ach! von so wunderreichen Schaetzen
wird mich ja auch ein Teil ergoetzen
in dieser so fluechtig verschwindenden Zeit.

I dedicate these fruits of mine labours to Miss Grażyna Banduch.

One frukta pracey moyey poświęcam ninieyszym pani magister Grażynie Banduchównie.
