Motet BWV 226
Der Geist hilft unser schwachheit auf
Italian Translation
Mottetto BWV 226 - Lo Spirito viene in aiuto alla nostra debolezza

Occasione: Servizio funebre

Original German Text

Italian Translation

1

Coro I/II: S A T B

1

Coro [S, C, T, B / S, C, T, B]

Oboe I/II, Taille, Fagotto, Violino I/II, Viola, Violoncello, Continuo (+ Violone)

Der Geist hilft unser Schwachheit auf, denn wir wissen nicht, was wir beten sollen, wie sich's gebühret;

con insistenza per noi, con gemiti inesprimibili;
i desideri dello Spirito, poiché egli intercede
(Rm 8,26-27)

Coro [S, C, T, B / S, C, T, B]

Oboe I/II, Taille, Fagotto, Violino I/II, Viola, Violoncello, Continuo (+ Violone)

Du heilige Brunst, süßer Trost
Nun hilf uns, fröhlich und getrost
In deinem Dienst beständig bleiben,
Die Trübsal uns nicht abtreiben.
O Herr, durch dein Kraft uns bereit
Und stärk des Fleisches Blödigkeit,
Dass wir hie ritterlich ringen,
Durch Tod und Leben zu dir dringen.
Halleluja, halleluja.

Fuoco sacro, dolce conforto,
Alleluia, alleluia.
