Recorded live at St Giles Cripplegate (one of Bach Cantata Pilgrimage’s original venues), London, England on May 10, 2012, by Floating Earth Ltd, with additional sessions on May 11-12, 2012. This was a completion to BCP recorded series. The Ascension Cantatas, performed in BCP concert on June 1, 2000 at Salisbury Cathedral, Salisbury, England were the only ones left unrecorded, due to noise issues. The quartet of soloists include one of the original BCP soloists, bass Dietrich Henschel, alongside a new generation of Bach interpreters who have worked with the ensembles since 2000 - making this recording a “bridge” between a Bach tradition started 13 years ago and today.
2nd recording of Cantata BWV 43 by J.E. Gardiner.
